Omipa - Extrusion Machinery
TECHNICAL SHEET AND FOIL LINE Dosing unit, extruder, filter and pump Feeding of extruder / coextruders is accomplished by a gravimetric or volumetric dosing system. The OM series extruder, barrel with a special wear-resistant coating, HEO screw, filter changer, the OMP series melt pump: all these components are perfectly integrated thanks to Omipa's design ability. TECHNICAL SHEET AND FOIL LINE Coextrusion and die For the production of high technology multi-layered sheet and foil, Omipa provides for coextrusion systems: up to 5-6 extruders, with selectors for rapid change of configuration. The Omipa’s dies guarantee a perfect and optimized flow distribution across the die width and are ideal for the production of multi-layered products (from 3 to 9 layers). TECHNICAL SHEET AND FOIL LINE Calender Omipa has developed a wide range of calenders in different configurations, and fixed or variable inclination. Their robust construction combines constant product tolerances with high precision. The rolls have an excellent thermal exchange and a strong and precise closure. Motion transmission is steady and uniform. TECHNICAL SHEET AND FOIL LINE Roll plane and coupling film unit Downstream of the calender, the sheet / foil is conveyed onto a plane, with thermoregulated rolls. After being extracted by a take-off unit, at the sheet is applied by a coupling unit a film in PE, to protect the upper and lower surface. In this phase, it is possible to carry out thickness measuring and Corona treatment for specific needs. TECHNICAL SHEET AND FOIL LINE Trimming unit and cross cutting unit The sheet / foil is longitudinally trimmed and cut into stripes in different widths by a circular saw trimming unit. Cross cutting is made by a fast shear or a variable speed circular saw cross cutting unit. High precision and cleanliness of cut allows to eliminate rejects due to inaccuracy. TECHNICAL SHEET AND FOIL LINE Stacking unit and winder Omipa offers different solutions, all of which are functional and efficient. The sheet is conveyed onto a stacker with unilateral or bilateral configuration. The foil is stacked or wound on reels by a winder that provides for a single winding station or more than one, with automatic or semi-automatic cut, sheet insertion and discharge.
